Have you ever considered how beneficial mobile payments can be to an organization? If you haven’t, then this is your wakeup call. It’s not a secret that consumers prefer choice. In fact, it’s something they’ve come to expect.
How do you prevent your mobile workforce from wasting time and money on the clock? Lock down your mobility device by creating a mobility tool, an application specific device that keeps mobile workers “on task”. Though there may be several different options for accomplishing this, one way to prevent potential downtime is to lock down the N5Print or what is also referred to as “Kiosking” the device. When the N5Print is put into Kiosk mode, only necessary applications are accessible to the user.
Workers in tough environments—such as construction sites—where normal mobile computers can be easily damaged might not only need a rugged handheld device for project management tasks, but also a printer to help with on-site documentation.
Two Technologies, Inc.® has just unveiled the newest member of its ultra-rugged handheld devices, the N5Print – ideal for those managing construction projects of any size.
HORSHAM, PENNSYLVANIA, March 26, 2015 – Data collection technology reaches a new zenith. The N5Print is the ideal ultra-rugged device for use in Field Services, Public Safety, Transportation and Logistics, Medical, Automotive, Aviation and Aeronautics, Industrial, Food Services, Military and Government, Security, Point of Sale, Utilities, Distribution, Environmental Services and many more.

The N4 is a hard-shell mobile device for environments where smartphone damage and insufficient power can translate into costly setbacks.
No more relying on fragile consumer-grade cell phones or walkie-talkies. It houses the Samsung Galaxy Note within a rugged polycarbonate shell that is waterproof and heat-resistant. Includes a hot-swappable battery, optional 3-channel magnetic stripe reader, and an 8MP color camera.
The first in a series of hard-shell mobile devices provides the kind of protection and reliability for over-the-road truck operators, where normal cell phones and mobile computer devices too often fall short.
Two Technologies, a 27-year-old company headquartered in suburban Philadelphia, designed the N4 for those working long-haul OTR routes where mobile devices are prone to damage and power failure, often at critical times.
The N4 — an Android™ device housed in an ultra-rugged polycarbonate shell, is water proof and heat-resistant. It features a 5.5 inch diagonal high resolution 720 X 1280 Super AMOLED display, the powerful Android version 4.3, and an unprecedented 70 key backlit keypad. Other key features include a hot-swappable battery, optional 3 channel magnetic stripe reader and an 8MP color camera.
Truck operators often face rough weather and road conditions that can make using normal mobile devices risky. The need for reliable communication and computer access can be challenging for distance drivers, and hauling heavy loads creates a unique environment, yet rugged, weather-proof mobile communication devices have been overlooked. Most operators still rely on consumer grade cell phones or radios to communicate with dispatchers and route planners, says Joan Rickards, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Two Technologies. “We are dedicated to raising the bar on durability in mobile computing with the ultra-rugged N4,” she says. “N4 is the next step in providing better communications gear for those who drive hundreds of miles each day, under often challenging road and weather conditions.”
N4 incorporates the Samsung Galaxy Note series of smart-phones, is rugged to MIL-STD 810 G and operating temperatures of MIL-STD 810F. With a hot swappable battery, operators never have to exit an application, reboot, and then re-enter the application to change the battery. It can also be submerged up to one meter while remaining in an application.
Information can be stored in the N4’s 16GB internal memory and additional Micro SD memory is available up to 64GB. A drop-in cradle with spare battery charger may be used for desk-top or vehicle mounting. The device is IP67 rated and meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810G using methods 516.6 and method 514.6 for both shock and vibration.
The N4 can be ordered with a standard QWERTY keyboard or select a keypad that fits an application precisely. Aside from the Samsung device, the N4 is entirely produced in the USA. “Mobile phones come in all colors, shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common — they are fragile,” says Rickards. “This is what sets N4 apart — it is designed to withstand situations where normal cell phones are easily damaged or powerless, where every call is vital, and there is often an urgent need to communicate with the dispatch office.”
HORSHAM, PENNSYLVANIA, August 8, 2014 – Developed for customers requiring handheld mobile devices in extreme operating conditions, the ultra-rugged N4 is a fully customizable device that is water, heat, and impact resistant.
Manufactured by Two Technologies, the N4 has earned a reputation as THE go-to ultra-rugged device for law enforcement, ticketing and permitting, forestry, meter reading, manufacturing, and medical applications.
